My In-Home Consultation with HomeTowne

We were looking to remodel our living room and wanted to replace the old, dated Milwaukee windows. We had a simple, modern look in mind, but browsing styles and options online left my wife and I overwhelmed, frustrated, and with a strong difference of opinion. We felt all the more undecided and wanted to consult an expert for some opinions.

A few visits to some store outlets made us crave a more personal approach, so we scheduled a home consultation at https://hometownewindows.com/. The project consultant arrived at the designated time and did a walkthrough of the entire house.

He then sat down with us and discussed our ideas for the windows. I was interested in the ease (and low cost) of simple sliding windows, but my wife was stuck on the appeal of “enjoying the view” and letting in lots of natural light with a big picture window or bay window.

The consultant casually suggested placing a bow window surrounded by two casement windows in our licing room, and showed pictures to explain how it would open up the room without taking up too much space.

We were quite gung-ho about the idea, and the conversation moved to the materials for the windows. We deliberated over the price and maintenance of wood, fiberglass, and vinyl before finally deciding vinyl was the best option for us. The HomeTowne consultant even discussed the various glass options available in our Milwaukee windows and we decided on a toughened glass with low-E coating to insulate the indoors from the heat outside. We even got an idea of the different Milwaukee window brands (HomeTowne has them all!) and opted for the top quality Marvin windows.

A full replacement was essential and the HomeTowne Windows & Doors installers did an excellent job. A simple window replacement made our living room feel like a completely new space!
